Default Need Help with Proof for registration

Hey guys,

I am in the process of trying to register my car as a "collector" vehicle and need some help. NJ requires that I prove to them that the s2000 is a limited production car. Any idea of an official source/link I could use to prove this? Did Honda ever have official published numbers? These idiots require it on a letterhead, so I'm trying to figure out how the hell to do it.

Thoughts, links, help are all appreciated!

P.S. They also require proof of collector car insurance which I already have because the s2000 DOES qualify for all this, just that these asshats need ME to prove it, instead of doing their own work.

What's NJ's definition of "limited production?"

Anyway, here are all American Honda's sales figures.

Go year-by-year getting the December reports, which also has the annual numbers, and you can show the entire production volume here in America. Beyond that, the only thing I can think of is to call Honda directly.

Oh, the NJ website says this about the letterhead thing:

"Submit a letter from the vehicle manufacturer, recognized car club or a collector organization attesting to the vehicle’s limited production status. Must be printed on official letterhead"

Hmm, I wonder if s2ki or s2kca is a "recognized car club"?

Who do you have your car insured under? Is it special collector insurance or just a normal company but under a collector plan? I have my S2000 as garage queen and dont plan on getting rid of it so I would love to get the insurance down a bit.

That seems to be the 1st question that needs to be answered.
