Need help with reverse!!!!!

Default Need help with reverse!!!!!

i'm having a problem with reverse. when i push down to go to reverse, then it'll pop back up, it doesnt do it anymore. has anyone have this problem before?? thanks

You had to continue to hold it down until you put it in reverse.

i mean it wont pop back up after i put it in reverse. after i drop it from reverse to neutral. it stays down.

Okay so you're coming OUT of reverse into neutral and the shifter stays "down?"

I'd get that one checked out at a dealer.

Take the shifter out and put fresh new nice and a lot new grease on.
And that gives you the chance to look at the plastic bushings to see if they are still ok.
The manual for the short shifter @ ricks shows how to get the shifter out / in.
