Default Need help with Sale

Hi fellow s2k'ers, not sure but hoping this is the right place to ask this question. I am planning to sell my car but not sure what mileage to base it off of when pulling KBB. Noted, I understand KBB is just a guideline since it is usually off price so I combine that with the market around my area.

2003 GPW with Tan Interior
Clean Title
3rd Owner, always been a California Car
OEM front lip
Bone Stock no mods (never been modded as far as I can tell and my mechanic)
New Glass Top
New Brakes F+R
New Shocks F+R
Does not have typical driver seat bolster wear
Chassis has 173k miles
I changed the motor on it 4k miles ago due to a bad valve
Motor had 80k miles when I took it over (bought it from a guy who changed his s2k to full electric
Motor runs really strong, great mpg, no burning oil or gas, no oil leaks, compression tested and leak down done all with good results

Main question is since I replaced the motor, when I sell the car, do I base the price off of the chassis mileage or the motor? Better yet, what do you think I can get for it? Realistically. Thanks all!

Base it on the mileage of the chassis and add a note that the replacement engine has 84k on it.

Definitely base it on the chassis mileage, then disclose the replaced engine.

I think the more upfront you are with the seller, the more comfortable he/she will be throughout the whole transaction. Definitely encouraged!

I honestly probably would have bought this car off you had I not just bought my '05 about a month ago, and maybe you would have needed to been a little closer too

I believe you can sell this car relatively well due to what the buyers' market (on s2k's specifically, like I was) for the following reasons:

1. No modifications (ever) is a huge plus for a lot of buyers
2. It reaches a lot more peoples' "price range" for a great car (very good consumer reports rating)
3. The engine having lower miles than the body lets people believe they are getting a good "bang for their buck" entality, whether they are or not
4. It's an 03 - last year 9k redline with a glass windowed top to boot
5. It's a GPW on tan - very desirable color combo and quite hard to find
6. Non-abused seats is a huge plus

That's just my 2 cents. I would have been all over this car if I was still in the market for one. But alas, I paid much more for my 05 w/ less miles. But that's okay because I still love it

Thanks! It took me a little over a year to find an 03 GPW/Tan. I had a 01 Spa prior to this but always wanted the white/tan combo that was an 03. The glass top/better tuned ecu/door tweeters made a huge difference in daily driving!
