Time never changes some things.....I'm older than alot of you guys but your comments remind me of when Mazda first came out with the RX-7(I think 1980)anyway whatever the year was I leased one.I was 23 years old and driving what was at that time thought of as a very nice sports car.All I heard from people I worked with as well as neighboors was "how on earth can you afford this car".....so you see that kind of thinking will never end as long as young people drive nice cars.

I bought my S when I was 20. Tell you the true the only reason that I did not get a 996 was due to the snobbery of the local Porsche dealers.

They would try to give me the run around never would talk to me when I went to the show room. Heck I owned two porsches at the time and was part of the PCA but they could care less. And I hate to admit it I almost got a prowler instead of the S as well except for the same thing they would not take me seriously.
Honda has been real good to me lately so I don't complain. It's funny most of the guys I work with have nice cars as well but they seem to think that my S is killing me as well.
