My hood will not fit properly no matter how many damn adjustments I make to the hinges and latch.

On the stock hood the back of the hood latch is 6" from the front and 16" from either edge (left or right)

My J's hood latch when installed using the predrilled holes is 17" from one side and 15" from the other.

Did anybody else have this problem or did I just get a defect? If you have a J's hood please go out and take a quick
measurement for me.

My J's hood is about 2mm too far to the driver's side. I haven't looked at it much recently, but on Friday I'm taking it to somebody who has had experience adjesting a J's hood before.

Sounds like your hood is off by one inch? That doesn't sound right.

Mark so your latch that is attached to the hood is only off by 2mm? Mine is an entire inch toward the drivers side.

This is about as straight-on of a shot as I can get. Notice the latch is lined up directly in the middle of the Honda badge. Yours isn't like that?

Mine also was off to the drivers side. With the latch on the hood off, I let the hood sit on the car. It would line up perfectly. When the latch was installed, and I closed the hood, it pushed the hood to the right, and made the front right part of the hood stick up. So, instead of drilling the holes on the hood latch part, I made it into slits. With the slits, I was able to adjust the latch part on the hood to line up perfectly with the latch part on the car. Hope this helps!
