I have a question for all the real J's hood owners. I just got my hood in and the instructions are in Japanese. The hood came with 8 bolts all together. 4 short ones and 4 long ones. My question is does the short ones go to the latch of the hood or to the back to hold the hood up?

 

I used the stock bolts to attach the hood to the car, so the bolts you got must be for the hood latch, although 8 sounds like a bit much.

 

I don't have the J's hood but my TS hood came with some bolts that attached the hood to pieces of wood so they wouldn't get damaged. Never used those bolts.

 

I just put on my J's hood. It latched without messing around with it. Theres kinda a bigger gap on the drivers side but I can live with that. The only problem I had was the windshield washer nozzels dont fit. The hoods holes are too big. Im going to Epoxy them on the hood. I drilled holes under the hood so I can zip tie the water tubes to the hood. Thanks guys !!
