Default Never driven a S2000 but I orderd one

Hi guys.

My 2002 Spa Yellow is arriving in early Nov
However, I have not even test driven a S2000

I was wondring how many of you ordered your s2k w/o test driving it?

I know I'm gonna love this car for sure

I never test drove the S2000 before buying it, nor did I test drive my Viper, '88 Vette, Dodge Stealth or Fiero. Test drives are nice but over-rated. I get what I need from road tests in car mags. So far I've not been surprised after the sale.

rode in one for about a quarter of a mile with a friend / local member many months after having the deposit and many months before actually getting the car. I never test drove it - actually signed all the papers and drove it off the showroom floor.

Saw one (Tom Fota's) in the parking lot where I worked and said I had to have that car. Bought it straight off the showroom floor with 12 miles on it a couple of days later, I think. Funny thing, my first one was black, but when I had to swerve into the center divider to avoid a truck (on my way to my first autocross, ironically), the replacement I got was silverstone, same as Tom's. It's karma, man.

I would have bought the S2000 without test driving it also. However, being a loyal Honda customer, I had the opportunity to take it out twice. The first time it waas with a salesman because he wanted to drive it. The general manager said no salesman drives it unless they have a 'serious customer. The second time they just threw me the keys!

Even if I did not have these opportunities, I would buy it, even at MSRP but don't tell my local dealer yet. I'm still negotiating! They already are reserving a 2002 Suzuka Blue S2000 for me.

Never drove one, just drooled at the pics in the mags. The wife cursed my daily beater (it started to fall apart), so she said lets buy you a new car... I said S2000... she said S what? I showed her and she agreed (heaven's opened, chorus, etc).

Hoping MY2002 arrives before it snows...

I got a ride along at an autocross in Omaha, NE. That sold the car for me, no test drive, 10 miles on the odometer, jumped in, lowered the top and I was off.

One day on my way home from work, I saw a Silverstone accelerate away from me on the freeway, from about 60-90. Not to say they're in the same league, but the only other time I'd been that impressed by an automobile on the street was by a 911TT in a similar display a few years previous.

Got home, did some research, bought it the next morning. If only the way in all life's decisions could be so clear...

Congratulations on an excellent choice!

Never drove one. Only sat in one once. I figured if it was as good as all of the reviews, I would be happy. I did the same thing with my VFR. I put a deposit down on it before I even saw a photo. Haven't been dissapointed with either of them yet.
