Never driven a S2000 but I orderd one
I never sat in one, nor did I even see one "in the flesh" before I placed my order. I ended up sitting in one briefly at a car show a few days before I went to the dealership, but the deal was already done by then (purchased my S2000 online). I went to the dealership, signed the papers and drove off with only the slightest "overview" by the salesman who explained the layout.
I ended up looking 5-10 minutes for the fuel panel switch at my first fill-up.....I'd have been lost without the owners manual.

Never drove one and never saw one in person until mine arrived at the dealer. Only saw it on the web. As soon I saw it and the price and that it was a Honda I knew I couldn't go wrong.
I've have not once even come close to regretting it. That was about 13 months ago.
However, this car has this infinite power to make you think you are a better driver than you really are, so don't go crazy as soon as you get it. And watch the oversteer.

I never even sat in one until mine arrived and I had signed the papers. I had seen one at a cruise night, but my decision had already been made. My test drive was when I left the dealership that night.
I've had absolutely no problems except the gruelling long wait to get the car (seven months!) and the even longer 600 miles before visiting VTEC. If I had it all to do over again I wouldn't change a thing. I love this car.

I was able to test drive two S2000's in Oct '99 before buying mine. But in late September, when the first cars arrived at Weseloh Honda, I sat in one in the service area and that pretty much did it. The car just fit perfectly. Frankly, the test drives didn't make much difference anyway since I kept it under 6,000 and couldn't really try any corners.
Test drive or not, you won't be disappointed!
