I put 50 miles on my S during the test drive...without the salesperson in the car. I have to say, she was a little concerned when I got back. I never left the dealership without the car.

Sat in one that was on the dealers floor and that was enough for me. Four months later I took a drive down to Aiken, SC and picked mine up.

Still can't believe I bought a car without test driving it, but I'm sure glad I did!!!

As people around here say..... It makes me do this ==>

sat in one, drove all over to see all the different colors, decide on silver/black - never drove it. Figured if there were so many fans of the car who would spend sooooo much time at s2ki praising it, it was probably even better than I could appreciate by test driving it. Now with three hundred ten on the odo, its probably in bed for the winter. Susuka2k I feel for you. Its white here in the mtns this am... hope you get to drive.

I can't imagine having to put it to bed for the winter!! I know my driving days will decrease during the winter, but I like to drive around in the 30 degree weather with the top down and get strange looks!

Ordered my s2k without a test drive ... agreed on price / color / etc ... but, final purchase was contingent on taking the test drive ...

Have fun,
Derek

Never drove one, period, until I drove my 2000 Silverstone off the showroom floor. I knew I was going to get one before I even SAT in one...

Then when I did finally ooze into the seat, I knew for sure.

Never had a moment's doubt about it!

Good luck, and ENJOY!!! It'll make you do this ------------------>

I got a dealer to sell me one for MSRP way back in 99 when the car first came out. I was so excited, I went to the dealership and was about to buy it without test driving it. The salesman had to force me to test drive it.

Sat in one but never drove one until my black/black was in my name. Just sorry I didn't order
it sooner. Got it in June of '00.

I never put a key in the ignition until I signed the papers for mine in July. I too relied on the excellent S2Ki.com board and magazine articles. In fact all of my Honda purchases (3 cars, 8 bikes and 1 lawnmower) were purchased without a trial run. Honda is the only company I would ever try that with! Never got a bad one in the bunch either!
