New here, modding asap - can u help?
These kind of posts bother me. First, search. I'd imagine there are pages upon pages of these exact same questions posted by brand new memebers that have been discussed to death already. Second, why did you spend x amount of money to buy the car and want to spend 2500 more to make it into a different kind of car? Why not spend a little more (or perhaps even a little less) and buy a drag kinda car. Mustang? Camaro? You could probably even buy an older version of those two that would absolutey rip the s2000 apart on the drag strip for under 15,000. Don't try to transform a car into something it is not. Yes, the S2000 is quick and will go down a straight track reletively quickly but its not the best at it, and its not cheap to make it better at it.

I think if you want to safely add power to it, just save up and buy a supercharger. The money you spend in I/H/E will cost you close to 1500 to 2 grand and will give you what, maybe 10 HP? Waste of money, plus your car will sound silly with fart cannon exhaust. Save up for the SC and you'll find your HP per dollar is much better!

If you're looking for significant power gains(which I expect you are), then a SC is your only way. Save 4k and get it. Anything else won't give you more than 10 hp total. You might want to get 4.77 gears first.

I'm new too but here is what my research has gotten me so far
intakes:
comptech +5 hp +4.5 tq
AEM +7 hp +8 tq
k&n +9.5 hp unknown torque
all in the 200-300 dollar range
with a supercharger and tuning you can get to 300 whp no problem with only a supercharger (with aftercooler).
Cat back exhaust:
SOOO many to go through but I've seen a lot of dynos showing an easy 7-10 hp gain with about 5-7 tq

There is no way you can say that each of those items will add thatmuch horsepower. And also you seem to be implying that all of the mods together would give you the sum of the increase numbers you listed.
This is really not the case. Breather mods like intake header/ex all work best together and only if they are well designed. I would say that if you were to get all of the mods you listed and you got good quality stuff you could maybe geet 20hp if you were super lucky, more like 10hp.
Thing is that non turbo cars need backpressure to create hp/torque. And honda put a lot of time and money into designing the current system. So unless you get a top quality part your wasting time money and power (applies to headers/ex more than intake).
Also those mods just give the car more air. There is limit to howmuch that can help without more of the two other things that you need to make power , ie fuel and spark.
A turbo or supercharger will give you all that you need if done right. WHen a proper boost setup is done, it includes more fuel and an upgraded ignition, in addition to the extra air.

Why doesnt any body ever buil a custom ram air to thers stock air box?
Ram air is old hat technology on motorcycles -- standard out of the box equipment on sport bikes.
Why not on cars?
Maybe you should post this "under the hood" to see if anyone has done it?
well look at the stock airbox , how exactly is is designed? It has an intake within a box, and the box opens towards the front of the car. This is actually a ram intake.
However It could prolly be improved on a little by redirecting the opening so it faces incoming air as it rushes in.

With a Mugen intake, a Mugen header, T1R ground kit, T1R voltage stabilizer, J's Racing 70RR exhaust and a Spoon ECU. My car jumped from a base HP of 191 to the wheels to 219rwhp.
btw... a new set up, Dickson
im sure you are upgrading right now though
endlessssssssssssss

hey just so you know that kind of info is useless and wrong.
