Default New ITR.....

Does anyone know what engine the Integra Type R Has, Is it the F20C?, it seems to have the same gear knob, does it have the same gearbox? it runs 162Kw, but revs to 8500rpm......., i'm thinking new exaust and air filter might get it up to the 176Kw range.........., on an interesting note it does have the same pedals as well and alot of the R&D that went into the Stook has been carried on to the ITR..........

Just wondering, for AU$45,000, where the Stook is AU$70k~, then the ITR seems like a better buy to me.

No flame intended as what is a better car, i have a Stook and both cars appeal to different sets of people............

No, the new Integra does not shear either it's transmission nor engine with the s2k. The engine is a new one in the B-family with Honda's new i-VTEC system.

I believe the new engine is called the K20C. Supposed power rating for that car is 220HP and somewhere around 145 lb/ft of torque thru a 6 spd LSD equipped tranny. The chassis' torsional rigidity is up 116% from the current ITR . The pedals that are in the s2000 are actually the same as pedals available in a Japanese version of the current Type R (the Type Rx).

I imagine people are talking about the RSX. There is not a Type R yet but there is the Type S. The motor is not the same nor is the transmission. The largest difference is the the motors spin in opposite directions!. Then one is mounted inline, the other transverse, one is front wheel drive the other is rear..... They are totally different cars, that share some cosmetics, pedals, shift knob etc.

ITR still lives...in JDM land. For us "Gaijins" its called RSX-R...and no, its still a production prototype.

Well it doesn't exactly have nothing to do with our engine/car, because most of the R&D that went into the Stook has been passed down into the Integra TypeR, and yes it is the same as the RSX in america....

Torque steer seems to have been eliminated to, i think this is a great car for the price.... and it seems to me that it would not be that hard to pump more power out of it into the 176Kw range
