Hi all,
though this is my first post, I have been avidly reading the site for many months - very informative.
my car:
'00 silverstone w/hardtop
18" SSR GT1's - F 18x8, R 18x9 w/S03PP
stock wheels w/Blizzak MZ-01's (stock tire sizes)
factory front chin, rear deck spoiler, windscreen
Pioneer deck with Boston Accoustics component set - tweeters in perforated dash facing windshield, doors are direct replacement. Punch 100 amplifier. Steering wheel mounted stereo remote - it's really cool !!!!!
Motorola V-series cell phone hard-wired in car (speaker, mic, antenna, booster, cradle etc.)
H & R sport springs
to do:
Brembo brake upgrade (just because)
some of Rick's stuff
i drive my car in winter and have 36K on it - got it in apr/00 - paid retail - this included front chin, rear spoiler & windscreen - i refused to pay for dealer forced options - dealer caved in. if i get the brembo's, i doubt i'll be able to drive it in winter as the brakes won't accomodate the stock wheels - we'll see...
i drive my car pretty hard when i can. i did not follow any break-in procedures so i'm not sure of any long-term problems that this may cause. car feels just as strong as the day i bought it.
no major complaints to date - seatbelt TSB done, clutch/tranny TSB not yet done - fellow S2K owner recommended waiting till after this upcoming winter. i did have to replace both wiper arms late winter due to "seizing" (under warranty).
overall, i love the car, my wife on the other hand does not share my enthusiasm - "honey, it's just a car". she's right, but i'm still working on her!
