Default New member, slight window question...

Hello all, first post, so here we go...

just got a 2001 black S2000. 22,xxx miles. i noticed that my auto window down dosnt quite work. some times the window goes all the way down, sometimes it goes 1/2 some times it work like the regular down while holding... When putting the top down, the pasanger window goes down with the top by the driver window dosent move. obviously there is something screwy in the switch or the relay or something.

any sudgestions? or should i take it to honda and see if they will fix it under warrenty? would this be covered? i would assume so.

Other then that, car is great.

In case you were wondering, my last car was a 2000 civic Si.

Thanks!

it is a faulty window switch or regulator... can't remember which. The dealer has fixed several of these and probably has the parts on hand. Some here have even reported the behavior reocurring after Honda fixes it.

I had my regulator replaced 2 weeks ago. (MY '01) The windows would't go down when putting the top down OR when hitting the auto down button. Yesterday I put the top down and AGAIN my drivers side window didn't go down. It won't go down with the auto button either. So again I will make another appointment with Honda for replacement.

Common problem, I had this on my '02.

My Honda dealer ordered the part and the day I got the letter saying it was in, the silly window started working fine. It has never given me a problem since even though I never replaced the regulator.

I would definitely have the dealer replace the regulator for you under warrantee.

Though it's not a huge problem, I want it working the way it should. It's just a little frustrating to bring it back for the same thing in 2 weeks.

same here

my driver side auto up and down

~3k miles, started acting up

~5k miles quite working, taken to the dealer twice because of that but works on the spot both times so couldn't get the regulater replaced. they did replace the window switch which didn't solve the problem for long.

~7.5k miles and then it works again

~9k miles and it's completely fine now, works every time

my guess would be my s2k got matured over time/milage and stopped messing with me
