Has anyone else had and fixed the following irritating noise: When turning to the right the steering wheel/column/? is making a groaning noise as it passes about a quarter turn of the steering wheel. Very annoying...

From what I recall, sounds like that are *usually* due to the need to replace/refill the power steering fluid. Anyone agree?

 

Hmm, not sure about that, isn't the power steering electric in the S2000?

 

Yes, electric power steering. Don't put fluid in it. Did you have the transmission/clutch fix? They may not have put it back together 100% correctly.

I have an interesting noise, it doesn't happen unless I've driven about 100 miles, then at low speeds I get a "neep neep neep neep" sound from the front. I took it to Weseloh twice, and of course, no sound. So, while driving with Tony, I said, "really, it makes a neep, neep, neep, sound." That's very helpful, Mr. 2x6spds, thank you," he said, feeling suddenly uncomfortable. Then wonder of wonders, the car started to make the sound. "This is going to be very difficult," he intoned. Right! If they have to drive it 100 miles to get the noise going, I'm not sure I want the fix, except for when it's making that incredibly iritating, "neep, neep, neep" noise.
