new owner! itching for mods, but which to do?
Young_R: good point, i dont want to void my warranty.
I dont know if i really want to do more visually to my car howerver, i really think it just looks too sick already! I might change my mind later on as i get used to the look, who knows. I think a nice new hood with some vents in it would be pretty tight.
well, i guess i will just put all that off for a while then. Can i just get a simple K&N drop in filiter to the stock box? That wont void it will it? I did that on my last car ok... Or what about that spoon snorkle?

Here we go again!
No mod can 'void' your warranty.
However, if you make a warranty claim and the mod in question can be proved to be the cause then your claim can be denied.
Of course the reality of it is that if you install a CAI and your #4 cylinder fails you will have a much harder time getting it through warranty then if you were stock.
I for one am very greatful to be out of warranty.

you are right, but if something goes wrong with your engine or tranny and you have aftermarkets in them, there is no way dealers will honor your warranty...so it is mind as well say it is 'void'. thats just my opinion.
If you'll check the FAQ list (at the top of the S2000 Talk page) you can find loads of information on this topic. The short version is this: the airflow system of the S2000 is extremely well designed already, and the usual horsepower mods (intake, header, exhaust) will net you very little regardless of how much you spend. King Motorsports and Mugen spent $5900 trying to improve the airflow, and got all of 15 hp. If you want economical horsepower, spend that $5900 on a supercharger (~+100 hp).
