New S owner
Hey whats up guys. Picked up my S last monday. MY 01', black on black. I shopped around and around and around and came upon this little gem at a dealership. 39k miles on it, one owner, shipped over to Comptech and supercharged by them, comptech header, everything else is stock. I cannot believe how awesome this car is. My friends tell me its so unpractical, but i'm 24 and am allowed to be selfish for a little while
.
This car drives soooooooo much different than my last 3 cars. For one thing its rear wheel drive which I have to get used to. My last 3 cars were a turbocharged b16 swapped civic w/ 277whp, a 95 GSR 12:1 compression 210whp all motor, and a bone stock 00' GSR which I recently sold because I wasnt happy with it second time around (my first GSR was stolen when I moved back to CT)
Just thought i'd post up a few pics of the S. I just ordered an AEM UEGO so I can keep tabs on the air/fuel, as well as a greddy EGT gauge for the same purpose. My friend gave me an HKS turbo timer, do you guys think its needed with a centrifugal charger? I know it doesnt get as hot as turbos do because its not being spun by exhaust gasses, but its oiled just like my old turbos were. I've had friends with the jackson roots style charger, which is self oiled and didnt need a cool down.
I must say, dropping from 6th to 3rd gear at about 70-75mph, i've never felt such instant pull in any of my other cars. Finally own my dream car :-D
anyway, without furthur wait here are the pics. Excuse the crappy quality, I used a disposable that had a few shots left.

Thanks for the warm welcome!! Glad to join the wonderful world of S2000 owners! I just have the charger for now, i'm thinking of front mount intercooling it since I come from the land of turbos. I'm pretty excited that i'm able to add a blow off valve. Anyone know if 5-6psi will actually blow off? Anywho, stay tuned for more pics of gauges and such when I get them!
I have been the very proud owner of a '00 Silver S2000 for a week now. I got what I believe to be a great deal 24K in perfect condition for 18,500. It was a one owner leasee who kept it in the garage most of the time. Spent the day today cleaning and waxing- it looks sharp. My husband is an expert car detailer as it is his favorite past time. He has an 84 VW Rabbit which has been modified to fly. I could not decide about whether or not to purchase until my husband said if you are ever going to get one this is a great deal and if you wait too long you will be too old to get in and out of it. That was all it took and I have no regrets!
