The 02 sounds better. But have it checked out by a mechanic before you do drop some money on it.

I say this all the time, but if you're in the market for a used S2000, look for 02 or 03 models. I'd never ever ever get a used 00 or 01, no matter what kind of condition it is in.

And especially if you work in a bodyshop, whats the worry. Go with that 02. I hate red interiors too, but I'd rather take a red interior 02 than an 00 or 01.

Ok it sounds like I'm bashing on the 00 or 01, but I'm not. It's just that if you're in the market for a used s2k, I see no reason why you should be getting a 00 or 01. Times have changed. You should be looking at 00 if the year is 1999 and if the s2000 just came out. It is now 2004.

Advantages of the 02 - 03 model years:
1. better power. (retuned ECU).
2. Glass window
3. all the TSBs done
4. cosmetic differences.

Did I miss anything?

I see you voiced your opinion about the "All red interior". It's OK, you get an opinion. I can appreciate the fact you voiced yours.

People either love the all red or they don't.

Lucky for us "all red interior owners" there are those that love it. Specifically ourselves. When it comes time to sell our car, there will ALWAYS be those that love it.

Also, the all red is RARE. Only done in 2002. This can only increase the resale value.

I know whe it comes time to sell mine, whenever that will be, the person that buys it will fall in love with the all Red and how sharp it looks to them with the Sebring Silver.
