Go for it. Honda engine!!! remember. 88k is nothing. This engine can do the job for the 3-4 years you want to keep the car for. If the car runs great. Do not hesitate. You might get later on a cheaper car with the same mileage or less mileage for the same price, but that's what, few hundreds less or 10k miles less. I don't think it worth spending time searching, this also cost money. Unless you are waiting to find a car for 9500 with 30k miles.

I wouldn't worry so much on the engine, but the rest of the car. It's going to be old looking by then. I would go for something with less miles.

Does the car you are looking at have replaced shocks? Service up to date? I would also stay away from bastardized cars too. Seldom are these "upgrades" really upgrades...

You can spend it upfront on a nicer car, or spend it later on fixing your car that will never be as nice...

I looked at two S2000s a 01 and an 04, the 01 was red and the 04 is black, the 01 was great but I wanted lower miles and a little newer so I bought the 04, now when I saw the 01 I didn't get the gut feeling like I have to have it, its the right car, when I saw the 04 I got that feeling and bought it next day.

i would say that you should go for the 9.5k one. you won't have to pay interest on a loan, there will be no monthly payments, and if there are any problems in the near future, the extra 4-5k you saved should more than cover it.

just cause one car has more miles than another measn nothing, it is what kind of miles were put on it, and it sounds like the previous owner(s) took pretty good care of her...

Go for it if you can but take care of yourself first. Don't bring out a loan if you don't need to.
