Sup guys, this is my first post on this web forum. I usually post on honda-tech, but now that i am selling my car, i don't think i will be there as much. I am looking to get an S2000 as soon as i sell my car. Any of you make the change from a gsr --> s2000 and care to share your thoughts about it? One of the reasons why i am selling my car is because integras are theif magnets. The other reason is because i sat inside the show room s2k and fell in love.

http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=633084 <--This is my car i am currently trying to sell. I am gonna miss it, but i look forward to some fun with the s2k. Other cars i'm also looking into are the 350z, WRX, RX-8, RSX. Even though i am pretty positive i want a s2k, it doesn't hurt to keep an open mind .

Do you think the S2000 will repel thieves?

No, i don't think the s2000 will repel thieves. But honestly, i never really hear about s2000s getting stolen, not like civics/integs at least. My insurance company quoted me a cheaper price for the s2000 and i think that has something to do with the theft that goes around with integras.

I suspect that they are stolen less only because there are less of them to steal.

I have seen threads about S2000's Antennea's, wheels, seats, airbags and stereos being stolen. I don't personally recall seeing any threads about having the whole car stolen, but various acts of vandalizm have occured too.

My only point is that sports cars (or really anything NICE) is a magnet for being stolen or vandalized. Some A**holes poured coke all over the hood of my truck one day. (No idea why.)

Get a good alarm, get seat locks, and get a garage. You should be fine.

Yeah i definitely agree with you. Thats the price that comes with owning any car that is relatively nice. Unfortunately we live in a corrupt society.
