Default New soft top hard to open/close

I installed a new Robbins soft top and its extremely hard to close, when I first put the top up it took an enormous amount of pressure to hold it down and latch it. Once latched I let it sit for two days out in the sun, its a lot better than it was at first but its still very difficult to get the latches to release, specifically on the driver side. I loosened the hard stops for the motors but that didn't seem to have any effect on it at all. Is there an adjustment? Or does it need to just be left up and latched until the fabric stretches enough to make latching/unlatching easy?

Also, I loosened the screws at the front and nuts at the rear to allow for as much movement as possibly, still too tight as of right now.

i've heard you need to let it sit in the sun in closed position for 1-2 weeks.

As noted you need some good sun. In the heat of summer it takes a few days. This time of year might be a week or two. Be glad it's tight.....that's exactly how you want it.
