Default New TSB in 4th gear drop

Just got back from the dealer. They were going to install my alarm which they did and I told them that the car was still popping out of forth, they called me up today, said american honda was aware of the problem and that a tsb had been released. They ordered a new forth gear a new forth fork as well as a new linkage I believe. Just a heads up as a few of us have had this problem and now a solution. It is going to take a least a week to fix though. This sucks they will be giving me a rental but I might just drive the porsche forf he next few days because I dont want to get stuck in a civic.

Now, the bigger question is, from what VIN onwards was it fixed at the factory...

The better question is, how many tranny TSBs before they decide to build a better one and finally fix all the problems.

this is a very specific tsb. It is my belief and was confermed by the service manager that only a few S2000's got a bent fork from the factory. It seemed to be a supplier related problem. I really would not worry about it as it has only happened to three or four people on this board. 2002 S2K's are not covered under the TSB i believe so I think they got it worked out. What sucks is they gave me some brand new prelude for a rental and limited my miles. Plus my 914 was in the shop so I have been stuck at the house lately.

I will try and get a cfopy from my dealer. I think that wilwood (sp) might have one as well as he is the big honda rep.

Just a no0te. Got a call back from the dealer, apparently they are replacing 3rd and 4th gear. 3rd and 4th fork. 5-6 gear's and collet what ever the heck that is. They took it for a test drive and the tranny is now humming so they are going back in to check it agian. I will not have my car back for another 2 days or so and I doubt tommorow like they stated.
