question: when you buy used from a dealer, do you still have to pay taxes?

Thanks for all the good input. I guess I'm leaning toward new now. So what's a good price? I'm in California. Anyone know how much that adds to the destination fee? I know that extras are all personal tastes, but what have you all gotten? More importantly, are there any add-ons that I should NOT buy from the dealer (either because they are not worth it or there is a better after-market product out there)?

www.hardtopguy.com is always a good place to gauge a "best price," though you may find local dealers willing meet/beat that price (or not). Anyway, it's a good place to start, AND Jeff is a great guy to work with.

As far as things NOT to buy from the dealer, I'd say that the headrest speakers are an item where there are much better (and less expensive) alternatives. S-pods are supposed to be much, much better. I'd post a link, but I'm way too lazy to do a search right now.

Buy a used under 60K miles and use the rest of your money to mod the hell out of it

Hello peoples,

First post! I've been a fan of the s2k since it was released. Now I'm thinking about finally buying one. Should I get a used one or new (2004/2005) model? Any year better than the others if I buy a used s2k?
Hard decision. I have an '01 Silverstone and a new '05 Suzuka. I love them both for different reasons. I was looking forward to the glass window on the '05 but then it's quite a bit shorter in height so I'm not all that thrilled. The '05 is smoother shifting but I miss revving to 9K. Bottom line though, if you can afford a new one you don't have any worries about what a previous owner did to the car.

For new, as far as price goes, check with Matt Piercey, (pierceman) at Honda World in Westminster. I got mine there even though it's fairly far from my house. Many so Cal owners go see Matt.
