Default New Wheels & Alignment??

Ok, after talking with another member we decided to see if any of the more car educated folks out there could help us out.

Is there any need to have the car aligned after putting on new wheels and tires?? 18inch wheels to be more exact. Will there be any strange tire wearing issues or will that vary from car to car???

Thanks for any info....

Is it normal for the rear of the car to look slightly 'squated' in the rear with the wheels sticking out more on the bottom than on the top?

WebGod,

When you change your wheels from stock you are changing details like wheelbase. Since the wheels stick out more than stock, and there is less tire with the 18's...the camber may be need some adjustment.

So, yes...I would get an alignment with the wheels you run most.

BAD S2K,

Yes, the s2000 stock camber settings has the rear wheels slant slightly inside the fender well.
