Thank you. Driving last week, I determined that this wouldn't be a good cold weather convertible. Your improved design may change all that.

That sounds absolutely amazing! Another great idea, Rick, I'm excited to see how great it looks.

I like the idea of the etching, but not the air brush. I would not want to block rear vision. It does sound like a very doable project.

Even though you're doing leather head rests those that don't want them may be interested in lexan headrest hole inserts as an addition to your windscreen. I mean, not much point blocking air in the center of the vehicle but letting it flow through the center of the head rests.

Not having the car yet, I'm curious. Does air really blow thrugh those holes in volume? If it's a problem, I'll work on a solution.

I've wondered, isn't there some way to atach the lexan via some for of "slide channel" attached to the sides of the roll hoop cover? I imagine some sort of "track" that the lexan would drop into from the top. This could be easily removed or slid upward to allow access to the top compartment.

My other thought was a piece that would be tall enough to reach the bottom of the convertable top tray, maybe we could find a way to use the tonau cover attachments.

I really want something simple to add, and is easy to remove. I'd also like it tinted to lessen the brightenss in my rearview mirrors at night.

Just be careful not to lower the top with the secret compartment open. My daughter was getting a CD outta there while I was lowering the top and the wind screen came in contact with the folding rear window. If it hadn't had the pivoting mechanism, it could have done some damage. A larger windscreen would have surely poked through.

Maybe you could make some kind of "targa" type of piece that fits right over the roll hoops with full "window" across the back. Something like that might even fit into the trunk if you neede to put the top up.

I'd like to see Rick make a zippered leather (or neopreme) cover for the hoops and then a mesh screen ala the M roadster. I've been fooling with pet screen and it works but I'm no artisan. The mesh does a good job of slowing down the wind and has better visibility than a scratched plastic window plus cuts down on sun glare.
