ok, well, this has probably been done to death, but what's the logical progression for a new s2k mod-wise? Intake, exhaust.....which kinds? i seem to like the injen intake and the spugen exhaust, i want a really loud, good sound........other than that though, what do most owners start out with?

I have to second that...X-brace will give you a NOTICEABLE difference in handling. Mine is from Spoon, I know DiGrappa and others make one.
