Ok, talked to Jim at the tirerack and will run Pilot Sport Cups on the "Winter" rims at 225/50/16 and 245/45/16. Will put them on for canyon carving and maybe venture to the track. Will think about upgrading to 17 inch lightweight Enkei wheels and doing RE-01s for the Spring and Fall.

I also bought a set of Bridgestone RE01R, and they are far far superior then the old Kumho SPT I had. Unfortunately I did not have much experience with S02. They there replaced 100 miles after I purchased my car due to worn tires from dealership However, I used S02 and S03 on my Supra before, and from my experience I like the RE-01R better. The price is very similar to what the S02s, so they are definitely worth the money. Just my 2 cents.
I thought that you couldn't get RE01R in 16s with a proper stagger. What sizes did you buy?

They are the stock size 205/55/16 and 225/50/16. Fit without any problem.

The 17's also made a huge difference in the way my car handles. The smaller sidewalls made steering response very precise. You might want to consider going with a set of wheels for those stick icky tires. 255 rear 225 front!
