I am very impressed with the Avon Tech M500s that I bought last year. I got caught in some torrential down pours, (remnants of a hurricane), and they were great. They were also new at the time, not sure how they will be as they wear down.

General Exclaim UHP is one of the best on wet roads according to owner surveys, it is also cost lowest for sizes that fit AP2:

best two wet weather tires on the market now are the bridgestone S03 PP's and the michelin Pilot sport PS2's. i don't knwo about the new Pole postions. but the S03's i had on my S were amazing in every kind of rain. the PS2's i have had on my M3 along with the S03's and both are beyond any other tire i have driven on. The oem Michelin Pilot Sports were not bad either but no as good as the two above.

I can tell you these sucked in rain
Yoko AVS sport
Yoko ESV 100's
Pirelli P zero's (both normal and rosso)
S02's (both the honda spec and porsche spec)
