Default Nipple or no nipple

Want to get the fumoto drain valve.
Getting the one with a nipple seems pretty convenient, but I don't have an x-brace to protect the little thing.
Is this an issue or should I just get it?

Honestly IMO I would never get a drain valve. The assurance I have with a regular ole plug outweights the risk of the valve being knocked into the "on" postition and draining all the oil while driving.

Even without the x-brace it's VERY well protected. If you go over a rock that takes out the crossmember AND the motor mount I am guessing that draining some oil might not be your biggest problem.

I didn't get the nipple, but I did get the extension (that moves the body of the valve out a little further.) Works just fine. With my CAI, I can change the oil from the top, without lifting the car at all.
