So yes, the nitrogen will do.

good thing our s2000's have vtec and not v-tech. v-tech is a phone.

the whole nitrogen is just a marketing scheme. just like v-power and techron and BP's invigorate or whatever it is.

V-Power isn't completely a marketingf scheme.

It doesn't have any Ethenal at 91 octane (here in Canada atleast)...

first about the quik trip thing. quiktrip sells their gas with 10% ethanol mixture, by law they now have to put this on their pumps, not sure if that has gotten to your city yet. the ethanol in our cars really kills your performance and your gas mileage. ethanol has also show increased deterioration on rubber and plastic products. also a bad thing. i have also heard that shell is a sister company to quiktrip and that they receive gas from the same suppliers. this could mean that shell also has ethanol in their fuel. as far as the "nitrogen enriched" bs, nitrogen is an inert gaseus gas. how are they going to put that into your gas tank? this would just escape the second the fuel system is opened. maybe its liquid? no liquid nitrogen is very close to absolute zero which is about -460 degrees...

im no chem major or anything, but everyone that i have talked to about this just laughs at the fact that shell would even try to push the fact they put nitrogen in their fuel. whats the perks to doing this? our cars were designed and tested on 100% premium unleaded gasoline. why would you want to put anything other than what it was designed on? if you look around in your area you will find gas stations that have 100% gasoline. a majority of the stations in my area are ethanol mixtures, aka E10, but there are still stations that have the real stuff. im my local forum we have all these staions posted.

Guys all gasoline is the same, the only difference is each companies proprietary additive. None of the name's like "V-power" or "Nitrogen enriched" are marketing ploys, they are the brands additive! Shell just released their new formula, so they are advertising it.

Shell, Chevron, and other top tier brands put more research into and have better quality additive mixtures than other brands. All gasoline's have it, though.

But trust me, I work on plans for fuel and gasoline distribution centers at major ports and filling stations, all gasoline is the same. When you are comparing gasolines to each other, you are really just comparing the additives, and whether or not it is E10.

This is one of those posts wherein everyone who reads it is now a little bit dumber, sorry.

E10 requirements differ from state to state, and no where is completely mandatory yet. Most gas stations in my state, Florida, have E10 because of the $.50 tax credit received for every gallon. Also, because the octane rating of ethanol is so high, the distributor can mix more 87 octane in the blend to achieve 93. You are right about the cons of ethanol though, less mileage, and more wear on rubber parts (really only true with E85).

That is the most ignorant thing I have ever read. Do you know what a chemical compound is? You know, the reason why the Sodium and Chorine don't dissolve your insides when you eat table salt? The reason Hydrogen gas doesn't fly out of your glass of water or radiator? First of all, Nitrogen is not an inert gas, but that is besides the point. Elements come together to form complex compounds with unique physical and chemical characteristics. For instance, Shell's new gasoline additive formula benefits from a modified atomic structure, and in some arbitrary way utilizes nitrogen as part of the new compound. This additive is mixed in with refined hydrocarbons and due to its engineered properties, will help clean and dissolve leftover carbon from the combustion process while at the same time not effecting the combustion process itself!

THINK.
