Ethanol is the governments way to help corn growers, I would like to see how ethanol is helping our environment.

Ethanol started as a replacement for water soluble, cancer-causing MTBE. MTBE started as a oxygenation agent (in California only, I think?) to help reduce smog. (Not exactly sure how that works, though.)
