NITTO Tires
Please note, there is quite a difference between the Nitto 555 and the 555R. The latter are much higher performance. I have them on my CRX and love them. My Auto-X time on them are about .5 to 1 sec off my time with the much wider and shorter Khumos on a 60sec course. The sidewall is not soft at all and they provide awsome grip in the dry, and traction in the wet is no worse than a "regular" tire. Mine are down to the wear bars in front, and almost slicks in the rear, I just take it easy in the rain now. They are still extremly sticky. I plan on doing another track day before replacing them with the same exact thing. The wear rating on them is 100, the regular 555's are 300 I think. They can't be beat for the price.
I am running NT-555 on my S2K now! They were originally on my TL. I think they are good tires for the money. They probably don't stick as well as the S-02's, but I think they will last longer. Also, I think the NT-555 are more predictable sliding than the S-02's. I am running 225/40ZR18 all the way around.
