I smell some fish. $2000 fix hmm....
There should be no more then one hour labor on this fyi. So the rest is the cost of the cat. I haven't priced a cat for a 06-09, but im pretty sure they aren't $1900. I'm not as experience on the 06-09DBW model requirements, but I know a simple $10 bung extender on the TP to pull the 02 sensor out of the direct exhaust stream will fool the CEL and keep from coming on with all previous models. If you ran the common Hondata engine management you could simply turn this Cel function off for the cat, and may have been what was used on this car prior to your purchase.

There are oxygen sensors, fortunately. the cat is the only one missing.
What's better OEM or aftermarkets? I am trying to find a cheaper OEM but usually high price but aftermarkets are so cheap.
I honestly don't know what is worth. Aftermarkets fit like OEM?

See if you can locate a used one from a member on s2ki. I sold one to a member here for $150. They come up on occasion.
A HFC/high flow cat for around $250 would be your best price and performance alternative while staying legal. Don't have Honda install it, take it to a local/alternative shop if you aren't mechanically skilled or able.

Get a Berk HFC

a new oem cat from Honda is ridiculously expensive, find a used one, or an aftermarket one, I like the Berk High flow cats, they never threw a check engine code on my s2000, should be enough to pass an emissions test, if not buy a used one, post in the wanted forum I'm sure you will find one easily.

Thank you guys so much for helping me out. I really appreciate that. I would take you guys recommendation, I would buy a Berk HFC.
One last question, are bolts nuts and gaskets are included if I buy a Berk HFC for new one?

"Do you guys think I can claim about it to a dealership where I purchased from? "
Did you buy it from a dealer? If so they can not sell a car without a cat. If they do the feds can fine the hell out of them.

You mean I can at least get refunded or sue them furthermore, right?
