I got pulled over when I lived in NY for the sole reason of not having my front plate mounted. It cost me $100 dollars and the plate went on IMMEDIATELY!

How lame that they tagged you for that.
Exactly.

I have been running personalized plates since November, and state law requires the front vanity plate be displayed. I have not once had my front plate displayed and seen plenty of cops, been pulled over twice too....and neither cop said word.

Only in California....

A front plate is required in Texas too. I don't want to give anyone another excuse to pull me over so it's mounted. Doesn't look too bad with the Rick's mount. At least the salesman at the Honda dealership likes it. I like rajun asian's solution although in Texas you could get pulled over for not having the entire plate visable.

Just got one myself and paid the $10 fix it ticket. Take a look at the paperwork sent and there's usually two fine amounts. The first will be the BIG $$ and the one below will say "if corrected" pay $10

Hope this helps

In NV I got more than one of no front plate tickets. Everytime I put it on and went to the court and get write off. Last couple times I have to pay paperwork fee $10 or $15.
