So I drove by a local dealership last night and saw 2 08s and noticed neither had the black windshield tape that s2000's have normally came with in pervious years. Now I'm sitting at the office looking at pics on Hondas site and most of the cars on the site also have the body colored winshield line no windsheild tape.

Another possible change for 08?

 

Hmmm, didn't think Honda was going to do this. I saw an 08 at a local dealer also, but it did have tape. Interesting.

 

I saw a NFR 08 at the dealer, and it did not have tape. I like the tape personally...

It was definitely an 08, due to the wheels and the metallic difference in the Chicane paint.

Its a confirmed change - 08s don't have the tape, only CRs do (odd huh? all that extra weight that could be saved and all...). Personally, I think the tape looks better.

 

From what I understand the cr's have tape so all the hardtops could be black and it would help the flow.

 

and the non cr s2000 with a BLACK soft top didnt need the BLACK tape to help with the flow..

 

Only NA cars ever had tape - who knows why they don't now. Maybe Honda is running out.

 

I have seen throughout the year that the site always show without tape, but at the dealer is mostly tape it.
