No Windshield Tape for the 08s?

No logic to this one
In Europe only the pre 01 none GT cars had tape.
We've been tape less since then!
I think it makes the car look cleaner

I got into an accident once...the windshield frame got dented, after they got it fixed, they also replaced the black tape.

The tape was stupid to begin with.

I would much rather have the car look nicer when its top is down, than have a black trim to match the soft top when it's up (i.e. in a really cold day in winter, or when it's raining outside).

I like the black tape even top down - it makes the whole car look lower and sleeker. The windshield sticks so upright it looks good when its at least black imo.
