when you sit in the car with the top up, the bar straight above your head is not folding down flat all the way. push it down as you lower your top. it is the bar held on by the elastic straps.

His is an 07, that seams very early for the straps to be worn out. I just replaced the originals on my 03 in the spring.

The top is def too high. when you look in your rear view mirror the "handle" should be below the trunk level.

the straps were worn on my 07 also. Honda replaced them since I bought it used and it wasnt my fault, problem went away.

Its caused by having the top down and not using the tonneau cover as the sun dries out the elastic and makes them lose their elasticity.

the straps are toast...in order to make it sit correct you need to push back on the crossbar over your head as the top is going down.

If it continues to sit incorrectly you will end up poking holes in the top where the latch handles are.

ask me how i know
