Yeah the v4 system is not hitting the ground running like I'd hoped it would. I'm sure they will eventually get the bugs out though. I would like to offer some good advice to newbie's (and others that haven't figured this out yet) bookmark threads that offer a wealth of information and keep a running file of the really useful stuff. It's a shame a library of pertinent info on the car isn't a "constant works in progress" on the site.

wow, i've been here almost two years. within these 2 years i've learned so much from the more educated of this association (turbo and dave + more...) honestly this forum, isn't what it has used to be. i used to love coming here learning so much, but now... now its just... i don't know. not what it should be. don't get me wrong ill be coming back learning from the good threads as i can, but its just not what it was when i first got here. when i first got here every thread was filled with the enriched information that i wanted to see, but now i can say that some just make me grow slower and stupid, than make me grow in knowledge.

i donno what this thread is supposed to mean, im not sure, but s2ki just isnt what it was before.
It is the natural way of things. In the early years there was a lot of people searching for answers and so the threads were involved in finding the correct answer. Naturally by now a great deal more is known, so many of the previous tough questions are easily answered and the threads then go off topic and become trash. Like you, I found the site to be a wonderful resource that feed my curiosity. Now, I am lucky to learn something new every few weeks instead of every day. Recently I learned how weak the tow hook is; something I had missed before. So I still learn something; just not as often. Probably the best thing we can do is to give something back by answering the questions that we can when they arise.

To a lot of new people, this site is probably everything it used to be to you. There is still a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience here that more than make up for the "what oil should I use" questions, even though there may be more of them (more cars+more owners=more questions). The first visitors here were also probably pretty hardcore about the car and now the customer base is a bit less intense. I am grateful people like gernby, steven975, elistan, xviper, and many others are not too weary to take the time to share. It is unfortunate that it all seems tired and old to you, but you should realize, you have probably changed more than this site has.

I miss the "Show Active Topics" link from the Start button drop down menu. I liked how that showed you what people were responding to giving the most up to date responses/info as opposed to now where you have to sift through each individual forum, (unless there is a way to do an active post search that I don't know how to do... )
