well thanks to guys that did throw some advice in there.
i got some gorilla tape at the hardware store and it's holding surprisingly well.
As for iam7head, sorry, mine looked just as bad.
The temp repair will have to do until I can save up for a new one at Robbins. Might end up going fiberglass hard-top route.
