Default Not your typical "I cant get into my trunk" story

I was on craigslist today and saw an ad to trade my stock hood and trunk for a carbon fiber hood and trunk. We traded. The latch on the carbon trunk didnt work with my car. We swapped latches. I thought it was not lining up right, so I didnt tighten the bolts down all the way. Since I thought it couldnt be closed, I neglected to connect the wiring as well. Most of the threads on this forum about this topic say break into the glove box to use the manual switch. I didnt hook that up either. I closed the trunk, it locked and now I cannot open it. FML!T Water will definately get into the trunk as it does not seal completely because it is lose. I also dont want it flying off on the freeway and causing an accident...All I can think of is cutting it. Before I do, does anyone have any other ideas. Yes, I am an idiot. HELP! That is all.

Dont cut it. You can take your interior apart under the soft top and reach in and do the latch with your finger. Also, can you not use the key?

Are you talking about the plastic surround behind the seat that the top folds into? This trunk did not come with a keyhole

Remove the rear interior strip panel above the tray.
Remove the tray.
Undo the spare tire bolt.
Shove the spare into the trunk to give you some room.
Weasel yourself into tray area and grab the emergency lever on the latch.
Open trunk.
Don't do it again.
