Noticed someting about my AP2 upon delivery the other night. To the left of exhaust tip on the passenger side, there's a plastic piece which doesn't seem to serve any particular function. After seeing that the piece didn't have a match on the driver side, I went to check other AP2's on the lot, and sure enough, they only had one as well.

What's the function of this piece? Why isn't there one on the other side?

Seems everybody wonders "what does it do?" There has to be someone that knows - if not, it's going to bother me every time I polish my exhaust tips.

 

I just waxed my car the other day and never noticed it. I guess I'll have to check again
