Default Number of 06 S2000's manufactured?

I read it on Edmunds in one of the on-line discussions that the 06's will only be manufactured in limited numbers. Has anybody heard of this?

I am hoping for a decent deal on an 06; however, if the above is true, then getting a good price or a pick of color might be hard.

Any insight will be appreciated.

just what the dealers want you to think so you can buy the car. though the car is somewhat limited. they are not produced like civics.

every year is "limited" around 9000 or so. This year is probably no different...

Yes, very limited compare to the production numbers of Accord and Civics.

It's limited because that's all they can sell. It's not easy to sell a 4 cyl sports car for over $30k these days.

Yep, production is limited to a little bit more than demand...just wait, in late '06/early '07, they'll be giving remaining inventory away. I expect the blue to be a hot color that doesn't sit around on lots, b/c it's both new and good looking.

You are wrong! The S2000 is a special edition car that is going to be discontinued in 2000.
