Odessey Round Fog Lights
I purchased a set of round Odessey Fog Lights from Bill at H & D. I have attached a copy of my recent E-mail outling the installation. If there is interest i can provide more details.
Hi Bill:
I installed the round lights in my S2000 this past weekend. They go in pretty much like the photos that I sent you previously. I'll send you my own photos once I have completed the wiring and had a chance to test them in action.
The good news is that the installation can be made without removing the front bumper. I removed the little strake (2 bolts) and removed 4 bolts from the front part of the fender wheel where it is attached to the bumper to gain access to the back side of the fog lights. The hole cut-out is about 2 9/16 x 3 3/4 inches - I made a little cardboard template. Although the black plastic is easy to cut with a little saw, it is strong enough to firmly hold the mounting bracket. I think the front wiring harness will work fine with the S2000. It contains the main relay and battery power hook-up. The fog light switch and rear harness are not required.
The bad news is that the installation requires some slight modification to the brackets ( removal of one the mounting tabs and slightly bending of the other two) as well as reshaping of the black cover plates. The brackets provide up-down adjustment but I may have to shim the brackets mounting bolts to achieve proper sideways adjustment.
I would not consider this set-up to be a simple bolt-on modification but it does work pretty well. It seems much easier than the installation of the rectangular Odessey fog lights that was posted on the S2000 forum.
Thanks for stocking the round fog lights
Phil
