4% of 36,000 miles is only 1,440 miles. I think anyone over 37.5k miles would already be considered over the extended mileage allotment. This is just a frivolous lawsuit for that TX lawyer to make some easy money.
Honda said: "odometer specifications for these vehicles were within current industry standards"

So, was Honda trying to pull a fast one? Did they check the parts supplied by Nippon or use them without testing?

I have checked my Odometer against a GPS, and it was indeed off. Don't have the numbers right in front of me.

Anyway, if approved (hearing on May 30) it's $9.5million for the Lawyers (plus $300,000 for expenses)

Just found the Numers.

S2000 Odometer 387.5mi
Garman 60CSx 382.67mi

Just a little over 1% off. YMMV

This is the kind of stuff that raises prices for everything - insurance, price of cars etc. IMO we should take no part in this at all. 4%? So what? You know how much you will get? Barely anything while the lawyers make names for themselves and pocket huge amounts of cash.

Ok Honda made a slight mistake on their mileage. So what? At least >3 years, their cars dont break down every other week requiring you to spend thousands on repairs.

Think BIG and stop thinking about taking part in lawsuits such as these.

My heated 2 cents.

^ If you are part of the "class" then you are automaticly included in the "action". You may opt out but the suit will continue, the lawyers will get their money.

I have never heard of an entire class opting out so I dunno what would happen. Maybe the Judge in charge would dismiss.

i think the lawsuit is a load of bullshit, just like most other class action cases.

ill be writing honda to opt out, the court to tell them that the case is a load of crap, and ill be writing the lawyers involved to tell them that they are greedy pieces of shit. if i can find out the named plaintiffs info ill write them too.

the only people that deserve to get anything out of this are people who were denied a warranty claim within the 5% or whatever. i would venture a guess that most reputable dealerships wouldve goodwilled the claim anyway.

i owned an 05 S2k and i have my 07 fit now, couldnt have been happier with either one, except for the fact that my fit isnt an s2000

Don't forget those who were charged for excess mileage when they returned a leased vehicle. I believe the proposed settlement addresses these as well.

This whole thing is total BS. Every car has an inaccurate odometer. Every non-military GPS is inaccurate to some degree. 4% is nothing. You can get that by running bald tires.

I hate effing lawyers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
