Default OEM alarm

I locked the car with the remote. Transmitter is not working now.. battery might be dead.. or the remote itself is broken. I know if I unlock the doors now with the key the alarm will go off. Question is, will the alarm be disabled when I put the key in the ignition?

most common transmitter problems are
bad battery
or
loose wire under the drivers seat to the alarm unit
