There are switches on the alarm box (common to all hondas, only the wiring kit changes) that let you select several different modes. One of those includes whether or not it honks when you arm it.

As for having the battery polarity wrong.....and LED is a type of diode, and requires a forward voltage to light up. If the battery were installed backwards, it would not light up.

the confirmation beep is toggled on/off by holding "option" and "lock" for two seconds, led will flash.

make sure that you are using key fob for alarm and not the fob that came with car. you should have 4 key fobs that you paid for.

i have the manual and the oem alarm, if needed, pm me.
