What S2k Dude said is true. Are there any other "factory installed parts" on your car?

Correction, the side strakes are a *Dealer Installed Accessory* and are not put on at the factory.

this is why I am an aftermarket fan... you get screwed on warranty anyways... with that out of the way: Even though they are installed by the dealer, and made by honda, they are still exterior components.... you may be in for some tedious negotiating... the dealer isn't going to think ( or admit ) that they are at fault... they will say you hit a curb or a bump, or you were driving to fast for the mounting hardware, being that your car is modifyed (you could only have an STB and still have to defend yourself on this one)... be prepared for the usual .... your best bet is trying to schmooze them, or buying an aftermarket set of sideskirts... just my .02...

couldn't agree more. Whenever I see someone posting about buying the sidestrakes, I always PM them and tell them to do a search. I am not the only one who has had trouble with them. If I had it to do all over again, I would have bought aftermarket. As it stands now I am waiting on some clone sideskirts (airwalker vs one that 4IG is producing)

third time? I never got that far. I left them off when they came off the first time.

tenblade, glad to hear you've got something in the works, but I thought I might warn you about clone airwalker... The authentic kits are hand laid fiberglass ( I have one ), and the quality would be severely impared by injection molding or pouring... If the clone is hand laid, it would likely cost about the same price as the authentic kit?! there are a lot of subtle lines ( and aggressive ones ) that I think these processes would have trouble duplicating... Make sure you compare against the authentic's pricing, and see the kit in person to check fittiment... I always get afraid for people when they buy fake kits... I've rarely heard of anyone being overly pleased with knock off, especially around the fittiment... :note-this post is not to discourage anyone from purchasing any products from any members on this board, it is simply my opinion on what needs to be examined prior to purchase, so save the flames:

Spa...
thanks for the advice and I would usually be the first to agree. Both the kits are urethane which, I thought was supposed to be more durable than FG. Also, I do a lot of aggressive driving and I would kick myselg if I tore up a 700 side skirt. But at 350 a pop, if it gets damaged to badly, you don't feel as bad and you can replace it easier. If that was not a factor, I would be all over the real kit.....actually would choose the Feel's skirts
