OEM Sidestakes = WORTHLESS
Hey Guys:
My OEM sidestrake fell off too while driving...It was originally installed on the car when I first bought it as an extra option, and later when I replaced it myself I realized that the dealer had left off some pieces that would have kept it on the car. I called Honda but they told me that this kind of thing was not covered under warranty (no surprise from this, Honda service does suck)...but thanks to HardTopGuy, I got a good deal on a new set for my car.

tenblade, a $700 dollar side skirt? I didn't even pay 350 a piece for my authentic airwalker skirts... As for both being urethane, I'll be testfitting the entire kit tommorrow and my car will be off the the shop... as far as I know, the kit is made of fiberglass... I may be mistaken, but I do not think so... If I am, oh well... where did you see the authentic priced that high?! PM me...
to reply to my prior post, the kit is made of FRP ( fiberglass reinforced plastic )... it is the same material used by C-west (with the exception of the gymkahna series)... If you have ever seen an s2k with a real C-west kit, and a fake kit, you can tell the difference... if you lightly thump both kits, you will know what I am talking about... Quality aside, with the amount you are spending on knockoffs, you could have a true set... BPA, a sponsor, is offering the authentic for 650 a pair, and this is not nessicarilly the cheapest you can find them... this is just my humble opinion, and I will refrain for further posts on this subject to keep from harming anyones business... feel free to PM me...
Honda warranties any OEM part for as long as the car is under warranty(3/36) and as long as is was installed by a dealer. If the part is installed after the car was delivered, the part is still covered until 3/36. If it is purchased after is the warranty is over Honda will warranty the part for 1/12.
tenblade, do you take your s in for service by the dealer? have they given you any guff about the modifications to your car, and the warranty?
Sorry for the confusion... I guess for 300 bucks if they suck all is not lost...

To add to this, when I bought the car, it came with alot of OEM options because they would not sell the car without all of it to make a bigger profit and they put my black emblems on backwards...the front one was on the rear and the rear one was on the front, the windscreen was installed backwards, and the cd changer was installed backwards.
