As of a week ago Right Honda in Scottsdale AZ still had 2, 2008 S2000CR's in stock. Both of them were Berlina Black with AC & Radio. They said to tell everyone that they are ready to deal on these cars.

Can someone post a picture of a CR w/out AC+Radio? I'm interested as to what it looks like without them there.

You mean the cabin or engine bay?

The cabin's "radio" door doesn't open and the AC button is replaced with a black non pressable button

In addition to the obvious: There is no antenna hole in the left rear fender or antenna lead.,

No audio operable controls on the left control panel. Even the radio mounting brackets were left off.

MANY differences in the wiring harness. Essentially everything not used in the Non-A/C -radio car has been deleted from the harness. No Audio harnesses at all, not in the main harness or doors.

As mentioned, even the radio door has parts missing that are required to make the door open. (damper, rubber stoppers, spring(s)?)

No speakers, of course, only spacers with sealed holes are in their place.

No A/C mounting bracket/bolts on the engine block. Shorter belt. Again, wire harness and fuse box relays missing appropriate pieces.

HVAC air box is missing the A/C specific internal pieces as well.

I was surprised how many little things were omitted to achieve weight savings and probably cost savings as well.

If I am not mistaken, there are good photos of the CR's interiors at Hondanews.com. I thought even the Non-A/C model was shown.

In the engine bay, you wouldn't see much in photos. Even on the interior, it's not real obvious.

To add to that:

The radio panel (left of the steering wheel) has buttons but they are unmarked. They press, they just aren't connected to anything.

The A/C button does not press and is unmarked.

The radio door is screwed shut. I however removed the screws and put a din sized pocket for extra storage where the radio would be. I also picked up the spring loaded latch and rubber bump stops for the radio door to make the pocket accessible.

The engine bay of the CR is obviously missing the a/c. You can see where the screw holes are to mount it (near the bottom of the engine) and it's kind of a trip to see when next to a regular s2k.
