After searching for over an hour and finding no information on how much AP2V3 rims weigh, I weighed my CR rims today after having the tires dismounted at Evasive.

19.2 front and 21.4 rear! Please be aware that I hadn't taken any balancing weights off, and TPMS/valvesteps were still on the rims.

I would imagine the non-CR wheels are the same.

Damn. I thought they felt heavy.

I looked up the specs on RE070's - 24 and 28 lbs

Compared to the Kumho XS in same dimensions - 21 and 25 lbs

So, if you got say the the O.Z. Alleggerita HLT with Kumho XS =
Front: 14.6 + 21 = 35.6
Rear: 15.6 + 25 = 40.6

vs OEM Setup
Front: 19.2 + 24 = 43.2
Rear: 21.4 + 28 = 49.4

Hey thought I'd show you guys my solution to removing and replacing the hardtop by myself. Used two ceiling mount bike holders that I got from costco.com
http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?...wse=&lang=en-US

As you can see they're rated at 50lbs each and by using two the load is split to each only holding weight at half their capacity. I take my time taking it off and putting back on and it takes maybe 10 mins. Hey I'd rather go slow and not damage anything.

Here's a pic

Nice inexpensive option for when no one is around to help you.

Is that a NSX parked next to it? =O

Your setup reminds me of the old Mercedes SL top removal.... but it looks pretty solid.

Yep my other other baby. Having the CR made the NSX have to go on a diet.

Yeah I made sure to drill into the beams so it's very secure. Really nervous at first as I wasn't used to it , but getting more comfortable with it just hanging there. Gonna put some tennis balls on the death spikes

Being devil's advicate I'd say they figure most would not track the car so they had to allow for everyday roads

Question for the fellow CR guys on the car's highway ride. In my experience so far, it's pretty dissapointing; the car is so d*mn noisy at highway speeds (60mph+) that i dread having to take it on the highway at this point. After about 30 mins, it really starts getting uncomfortably noisy. The two main noise components are from the engine and then the windows. I have a K&N intake, but don't think that should have added too much noise b/c it's really not much different at part throttle, at least around town. I may end up going back to stock soon... Is there any way to reduce engine noise in this car at highway cruising speeds? Sound insulation? And for the wind noise, the seal appears to be very poor between both windows and the hard top. Anyone encountered this and rectified it? Is it worth having a dealer take a look at and maybe having them try and re-align it? As a side note, I realize this car isn't about comfort, but this is pretty dissapointing after having shelled out 30k...

When my car was stock I never noticed any engine noise. Even after I installed the header still very quiet. Exhaust was a different story though
