Riverside had a white, Cerritos had a black and white, Penske had a blue (mine now), and i forgot which had the yellow.

Has anyone beat a $3000 discount?
With all due respect, unless we are talking exclusively about out-the-door numbers, the amount of the "discount" is irrelevant.
If they sell you the car for $5.00, then charge you $40,000.00 in "fees," they still have you.
Same is true if they discount the price of the car, then convince you to buy, for example, extended warranty, alarm, pinstriping, window tint, mink-lined carcoat, 3-day vacation in Kuala Lumpur, California King Size Sofa Bed with "S2000" embroidered on the coverlet, etc.
The car + tax + license is all you should ever talk about with a car salesman. Let them eat the so-called delivery charge and everything else.
Their money comes from Sell Price minus Invoice Price, plus Honda Factory Hold Backs and Incentives, if there are any. If they want to sell the car to you for below MSRP, it's because, let us remember, it is costing them every day in financing and insurance (called "flooring," in the trade) to have the car on the lot. That's one reason why, if they have 5 equal S2000s, they want to sell the oldest one first.
I hope that's clear without sounding harsh.
So, could we please restrict the conversation to out-the-door numbers?
P.S. How do I know? I know because I used to be a car salesman.
P.P.S. If you finance the buy through the dealer or lease the car, it is the same as lieing down and giving them all your money while you wimper like a little girl. They make tons of money through in-house financing. The way we did it in the '80s, people would have gone to prison if they ever got caught.
I finally saw a black one at Williams Honda in Hampton, VA.
No pictures have ever done that car justice. I want one now. The black s2000 badge on the Berlina looks incredible, I like the suede seats too, they really hold you in place. shit is a little shorter, but no much, and the key was in the cup holder...... I was tempted.
